So you know a jetsetter you need to buy a present for, and you have no idea what to get. Well, everyone can agree on one thing: that’s not good. However, there’s no need to panic. Here’s a list of 10 gifts every traveler in your life will appreciate: A tablet An iPad or an e-reader is a great idea! I have an iPad and love using it while on the road. It allows me to listen to podcasts, watch movies, read books, play games, and surf the internet. Tablets also have a long battery life, which is something that I like when traveling. Portable battery chargers What do you like to take with you when you travel? A cell phone? Tablet? Laptop? Maybe some bluetooth headphones? The one thing all of these things have in common: they need to be charged every now-and-then. Well, what can be better than some kind of portable battery charger like the Anker Astro E7, or the Anker PowerCore 10400? Either one can make your travels a lot less stressful, simply because you won’t need to search for an outlet at the airport! That’s the worst. Trust me. Headphones I wrote about noise canceling headphones before, and I stand by that. There is no doubt in my mind that over-the-ear headphones are great for travelers. A headphone splitter These would be especially nice for a family or two people that travel together a lot. That way you can listen/watch to the same thing on one tablet/phone/computer. No more “left ear you, right ear me” games. Problem solved! Selfie stick A year ago I would have been totally against this gift idea. Today, I’m totally for it! I got a selfie stick as a gift not too long ago and it is a really useful travel accessory. If you know someone who likes taking pictures during their travels, this should be near the top of the list.
Backpacks I have a renewed love for backpacks. And it stems from the fact that they are great carry-ons. Not only do they make a great carry-on, but they’re basically essential for day trips, wherever you may be. Suitcases I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably say it again, but suitcases are expensive. So, buying some luggage for the traveler in your life as a present will be greatly appreciated. I know this is no secret, but Kohl’s (occasionally) has great deals on luggage. Compression socks Yeah, they’re expensive for socks. But they’re good for someone who sits for long periods of time. Which means, they're basically perfect for someone who flies a lot. I got a pair not too long ago and I’m happy with them! Breweries of the USA travel map I love love love this idea, and you should too, especially if the traveler you’re buying for likes beer... and maps. Booze tourism is popular in America. And this kind of thing can certainly help you hit up all the breweries at your destination. It lists all 3,600 breweries (big and small) now open in America! And they’re always refreshing their map. So if you buy it next year - it’ll be up to date! Lifestraw This small, portable water purification system is perfect for someone who travels out of the country a lot, or is an outdoor lover. Not only does it purify water, but it can help you save quite a bit of money when it comes to bottled water. Bottom line This list is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to gifts for travelers. Other things to consider that aren’t on the list: shoes/boots, hats, books, a GoPro (or another kind of camera), or journals. Whether it’s for Christmas, a birthday, or another special occasion, the traveler you’re buying for will enjoy anything on this list. Happy shopping!
