Here’s a CollegeHumor video about the TSA and why they’re more annoying than effective.
The video brings up many good points that make you think. And here’s a two year old article that says many of the same things, written by a man named Rafi Sela, the former head of security for the world’s safest airport. I especially like reason number four, about how eye contact isn’t emphasized by the TSA.
“Someone with something to hide, a bad conscience, will cast their eyes away much more quickly,” Sela writes. He continues about how the security guards at the Israel airport are trained saying they “look at your eyes and your body language, not your loafers.”
Maybe it’s time the TSA changes the way it does business. At the very least, it’s something to think about the next time you’re waiting in the security line at the airport.
