As if lounging on the beach and taking advantage of the -ahem- all-inclusive situation wasn't enough, Crystal and I were at the resort for one reason: a wedding. To get a better picture of our Mexico trip, I encourage you to read Part One and Part Two. You won't regret it :)
Each day we were there, there was a different event going on for the wedding.
I'll be the first to admit - I've never been to a destination wedding before this, but they did a good job! And our hosts, Lori and Mike, did a good job of planning. There was a nice balance between their guests' free time and official wedding stuff time.
Cocktail hour: It was great! In addition to drinks they had some finger food, guest gift bags, and a real life ass (aka: donkey). Considering our flight was delayed, I felt a little rushed getting there, but once there, it was a blast!
Rehearsal dinner: They served two of my favorites - surf and turf! The food was good. I won't say it was the best steak and lobster I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't bad.
Wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception: The bride was beautiful. The ceremony was perfect. Cocktail hour was about exactly one hour (amazing, I know). And the reception was awesome. Need I say more?
Bottom line I would certainly go back to this place. After all said and done, the $750 (that's including the $450 off I got by using my Arrival Plus credit card) that I paid to go to this all-inclusive resort was well worth it. My only complaint was that we weren't there long enough! Next time, we won't make that same mistake.
