Picture This: Lucerne

About a month ago I told you how to spend a weekend getaway in Lucerne. This week, I'm gonna expand on that post with Picture This, a semi-regular series on The Keith King Report where I show you some of the best pictures I take during my trips. You can find the first of the series here.

This was taken in Alpnachstad while waiting to catch the cogwheel railway to the top of Mt. Pilatus.

The absolutely breathtaking view while on the way up to the top of Mt. Pilatus

This picture is taken from the top of Mt. Pilatus. Roughly a third of the way up (the picture) and left of center is Lucerne. I'll reference this picture later.

Inside of the Chapel Bridge. At the top of the picture is one of the many paintings you see while crossing the bridge that depict the history of Lucerne. Many of the original paintings were destroyed in a fire in 1993. Most of them, as you can see, have been restored.

I absolutely love this picture. It shows the Chapel Bridge in the foreground and Mt. Pilatus in the background. The picture taken of Lucerne at the top of Mt. Pilatus earlier in this post was taken at the very top of the mountain you see in the background.

This was taken atop the old city wall, which is at the north end of Old Town Lucerne.
