So you’re tired of the cold weather? Can’t say that I blame you. Logically, then, you’d love to get a break from the bone-chilling cold, right? Unfortunately, there’s that four letter word that strikes fear in the hearts of those who are either starting, trying to start, or growing their family: Zika. Yes, the virus is something you should still consider when picking a vacation destination.

This should now be a goal on all future flights: on December 7th the captain of a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland to Kansas City made an announcement congratulating the passengers for drinking all the booze on board. Quite the remarkable feat in my estimation.
One of the things about the Fort Myers area that makes it hard to figure out where to stay is the fact that it is very spread out. It makes it hard to find a hotel that is in the ideal location. Stay downtown and you’re quite a ways from the beach (especially if you run into traffic). Stay on the beach and you’re far away from everything else (though I guess being “stuck” on the beach ain’t too bad of a place to be stuck).
But if you look hard enough you’ll find a few places that are the perfect happy medium. Not too far from the beach and not too far from everything else. And the Crowne Plaza Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops is one of those places.
When going on vacation, what’s near the top of the list of things people worry about? The answer you’re looking for is packing. Just Google the phrase “how to pack” and you’ll find over 500 million results. My pieces about packing are among them: Packing Tips That’ll Save you Money and Learn to Pack Like a Boss.
