Hit the road, and bring your appetite with you! Because you’re about to go on a trip devoted to finding the best pizzas in the nation. Yes, this combines two of my favorite things: travel and pizza! TripAdvisor recently named the top 10 U.S. cities for pizza, and it’s no surprise which city finished in first place. TripAdvisor based the results on millions of reviews from travelers. So pack up that suitcase, and grab a slice of pie. These are America’s best cities for pizza: 10. Chicago - “Travelers come from all corners of the country to sink their teeth into Chicago’s deep dish, the big cheese of pizza destinations,” said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications for TripAdvisor. Must-try pizzerias: Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria - River North, Giordano's Bottom line When it comes to pizza, Chicago does it best. If you’ve never tried a deep dish pizza from the windy city, I’d highly recommend it. The best part is, you don’t even have to spend money on a flight! “But Keith! How?” Glad you asked! There are a couple ways to do this. One way is to get a pie shipped right to you. I used Tastes of Chicago several times to get Lou Malnati’s shipped right to my doorstep. All you have to do is pop it in the oven. Another way is to go to a restaurant (if you’re lucky enough to have them in/near your city). Gino’s East recently opened several locations in Texas. Crystal and I went to the ones in Arlington and Austin. What’s your favorite pizza?
